Facial Plastic, Reconstructive, and Trauma Surgery

Facial Plastic, Reconstructive, and Trauma SurgeryFacial Plastic, Reconstructive, and Trauma Surgery is an ambitious project. In 1043 pages and 27 chapters, Dolan and 31 contributors offer a wealth of information on the entire range of facial plastic surgery. Although this first edition suffers from a few poor figures and perhaps too broad a focus, it is a valuable text for residents and fellows.
Chapters covering aesthetic surgery are well written, providing appropriate detail regarding surgical anatomy and reconstructive options. Surgical anatomy is discussed without superfluous facts. The indications for and the advantages and disadvantages of particular surgical options are covered. In many cases, surgical technique is de-scribed in detail. "Functional and Aesthetic Blepharoplasty" and "Specialized Local Flaps for the Eyelids and Lips" are examples of such chapters.
